Here are some miscellaneous photographs of this side of the family. Any help in identifying the people and places would be appreciated.

Sophia's Basement Flat

My dad, Sophia's grandson, sets the scene for the photo above:

From left to right are Aunt Julie Marchlewski (Vic's wife, you guys used to call him the Big Nickel Man because he would give you quarters from time to time), Sister Regina, Sophia, and Aunt Margie (Len Kurlandski's wife). The table looks like we just had a meal for several people, as indicated by the "card table" extension.

We lived in this basement flat at 3114 Mt. Pleasant St., St Louis, Mo., just a few short blocks from St. Hedwig's Church. This was grandma's [i.e. Sophia's] basement flat—she lived on the first floor and Uncle Frank and Aunt Georgia lived on the second floor.

To me, this photo reveals what must have been a physical similarity between some of Sophia's sons. Something about Uncle Frank—the shape of his face or the tilt of his head—is strongly suggestive of Sophia's other son, Lawrence, aka Father Larry.

Here we have Sophia with daughter Regina Lawrence, aka Sister Regina, whose legal name it seems was Sophia Wroblenski.
